Leaving your car at home and cycling more often is a boost for both your health and the environment. Our Call a Bike service offers our customers a more relaxed and eco-friendly way to get to their destination.
Cycling throughout Germany
Our Call a Bike family now boasts over 16,000 bicycles. They are ready and waiting for you in some 80 towns and cities around Germany and at all major long distance stations. Just pick one up and set off. Sometimes they have a different name, such as StadtRAD or RegioRad, but they all have the same goal: climate neutral onward travel in the city for a healthy climate.
Germany's most successful bikesharing system
Hamburg is also continuing to enjoy our StadtRAD bikes. There are now more than 3,000 rental bikes at many stations in the city. Several electrically assisted cargo bikes have joined Hamburg’s fleet by now. More e-bikes will be added until 2022.
Planning a new prototype
A new prototype of our rental bike is already under development. One of Call a Bike 5.0's new features is the front basket: not only does it ensure greater baggage safety by placing it in the driver's field of vision, but it is also equipped with photovoltaic cells. That way, they are helping to make the world's most eco-friendly means of transport even greener.
Our "Environment Rallye" shows you how to get to your destination after getting off your train by choosing the climate-friendly option with Call a Bike. Just click the link and explore DB's miniature world and their green measures.
