It's all happening in Hamburg. Our ioki shuttles are getting passengers from A to B, emission-free, 24/7, in the districts of Osdorf and Lurup. The ioki shuttle is integrated in the city's public transport system, Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV), with no fixed timetable or routes. Anyone who purchases a HVV ticket can use it for a small service surcharge.
How does it work? Passengers can book the on-demand service via an app and enter their desired route. Algorithms automatically put together carpools or passengers, who then travel together. This smart mobility service helps us reduce road traffic and thereby take the strain off the environment.
Thanks to our ioki shuttles, we have already managed to change the mobility habits of many Hamburg residents – they leave their car at home and let ioki take them to larger public transport stops. But that is not the end of the story. In addition to optimizing the app, we are planning to integrate ioki in further parts of the HVV network. This will enable us to save even more emissions in the future and reduce pollution in the city.
